Philosophy & Approach

IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) – Early Years Foundation
Our daycare program (ages 3+) is aligned with the principles of the IB PYP, adapted for early childhood.
We do not rely on traditional instruction. Instead, we intentionally design environments where learning happens naturally through exploration, interaction, and guided inquiry.
In practice:
- Children are active participants—not passive learners
- Learning is driven by curiosity and questions
- Educators act as guides and facilitators
Our integrated approach includes:
- Play-Based Learning: the primary vehicle for exploration
- Reggio-Inspired Practices: the environment as the “third teacher”
- Inquiry-Based Learning (IB core): children investigate real-world ideas
This is not unstructured play. It is intentional, guided, and developmentally strategic.
What Makes IB Different at the Daycare Level
We begin developing the foundation of the IB Learner Profile from age 3.
Children grow as:
- Inquirers — asking meaningful questions
- Communicators — expressing ideas in multiple languages
- Caring individuals — building empathy and relationships
- Risk-takers — trying new experiences with confidence
This is not academic pressure—it is early identity and mindset development.
