WHAT MAKES CHAOYIN SPECIAL?
Chaoyin Education Group has been a leader in private K-12 education in China for the past 20 years with elementary, middle and high school schools in Qingdao, Shandong province. Chaoyin International School marks our first school abroad.
We are the first elementary school in Richmond to offer a Mandarin Language Program within the BC Curriculum that will use the best practices of Western and Chinese teaching methods. We will celebrate and recognize Chinese heritage and values. Students at Chaoyin will experience rigorous academics with a STEM focus that begins the foundational steps towards university acceptance. We offer a project-based approach to education and integrate alongside academics and arts education to promote creativity, imagination and inspire our students through character building, mentorship and a love for challenges and problem-solving.

WHAT IS THE CURRICULUM?
The school will be offering the new modernized curriculum of the Province of British Columbia. The aim of the curriculum is to personalize learning, making it more student-centered and flexible. There is a focus on literacy and numeracy skills, as well as an emphasis on critical and creative thinking, and active learning. CIS also offers a Mandarin Language Program for all students. The MLP program allows students to learn in English and Mandarin while studying the world recognized BC Curriculum.
DOES THE SCHOOL OFFER AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES?
The school provides a wide range of after school club activities from 3:30-5:00pm. Students can choose from floor hockey, soccer, legos, painting, chess, badminton, ultimate and much more.
WILL MY CHILD NEED TO TAKE AN ENROLLMENT TEST?
Kindergarten will take an online interview or meet offline with admission office . Grade 1 to 7 will need to take an academic readiness assessment as well as an interview. Interviews are also needed for all the parents of student applicants, they will either be conducted by the admission office in China or through a zoom call.

Admission schedule is currently on a rolling basis, which means the school can accept applications for admission throughout the school year.
