Basketball – Tuesdays (G3 – G7)
Provider: Empower Basketball
Empower Basketball was established in 2015. Their mission is to provide helpful and encouraging guidance to student-athletes of all ages. Participants at their program will receive individualized support that is needed in overall development. The program coordinators are NCCP trained coaches and have had extensive coaching experience at the youth level. They have developed an efficient and effective training curriculum; Features include building athleticism, honing basketball skills, support for growing bodies and teaching mental aspects of the game. Participants will be divided into a variety of groups based on their perspective abilities and levels. The respective groups will be taught team concepts, communication and how to develop chemistry and consistency.

Program Introduction and Syllabus
This 31-week basketball program progressively develops players from fundamentals to competitive play. The first 10 weeks focus on individual skills (dribbling, shooting, defense), followed by team concepts (offensive sets, defensive schemes) in weeks 11-20. The final phase (weeks 21-31) emphasizes game situations, conditioning, and tournament play, preparing athletes for real competition. Structured drills, scrimmages, and position-specific training ensure balanced growth in technique, IQ, and teamwork, culminating in playoffs and player evaluations. By program’s end, participants gain complete skills, tactical awareness, and competitive readiness—equipping them for both team success and individual progression.
Guzheng – Tuesdays (K – G4)

Program Introduction and Syllabus
This comprehensive Guzheng (古筝) learning program is designed to cultivate well-rounded musical literacy (音乐素养) while preserving and promoting traditional Chinese cultural heritage (中华文化传承). Students will begin by mastering fundamental musical concepts including instrument scales (音阶), note reading (识谱), rhythm counting (打拍子), and musical measures (小节). The curriculum systematically introduces essential playing techniques such as 勾 (gōu – hook pluck), 抹 (mǒ – inward pluck), 托 (tuō – outward pluck), 小撮/大撮 (xiǎocuò/dàcuò – pinched/wide plucks), 花指 (huāzhǐ – ornamental glissando), 遥指 (yáozhǐ – tremolo), 点音 (diǎnyǐn – pressed notes), and 颤音 (chànyǐn – vibrato). Through progressive training, students will develop technical proficiency, musical expression, and performance confidence, culminating in the ability to independently perform five classic Guzheng pieces (古筝经典曲目) with professional accompaniment (专业伴奏). The program combines technical training with music theory and cultural appreciation, ensuring students develop both practical skills and artistic understanding.
Robotics and Coding – Wednesdays (G3 – G7)

STEAMPI empowers children (ages 7–14) to become creators through hands-on, project-based STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Their dynamic curriculum blends fun with education, teaching kids to build robots, design games, create 3D-printed inventions, and more—while developing critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. With a flexible, multi-level approach, they meet each child at their skill level, offering regular classes, advanced workshops, and seasonal camps. This program offers an exciting journey into the worlds of robotics and digital creation, designed to cultivate logical thinking through the integration of VEX GO, Scratch programming, art, and technology. Students will begin by exploring the fundamentals of engineering and mechanics with VEX GO, building a strong understanding of simple machines and robotics design. The curriculum then transitions to the vibrant, visual environment of Scratch, where students will learn to code their own interactive stories, animations, and games. Program Introduction and Syllabus
Over 26 weeks, this comprehensive golf program systematically develops all aspects of your game, beginning with proper warm-up routines and injury prevention before progressing through core fundamentals like grip, posture and balance. Students will master essential short game techniques including putting, chipping and pitching, then build from half swings to full swings with proper mechanics. The curriculum includes valuable on-course playing lessons where students will learn to troubleshoot real-game situations while tracking performance statistics for analysis. Through structured drills and personalized coaching, students will build consistent, repeatable swings while developing course management skills that translate directly to improved scoring and more enjoyable rounds on the course.
